Hey everybody! Happy Monday! I’ve been holding on to the make for a couple weeks now and finally got around to taking pics! I can’t tell you enough how much I love this set! These pants are now my go-to and favorite! I’m sharing more about why below so let’s get into the details.
Shirred Summer Dress: mccalls 7946
Hey everybody! Happy Monday! Today I am sharing a new dress inspired by a fellow sewist Isabella of @whatbellamade. I loved her dress so much not just because of the polka dots and shirring but its a very trendy and popular dress right now! I had to make one myself! Let’s get into the details!
Casual Pullover Knit Dress: The Mimi PDF Pattern
Hey everybody! Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! I did like I’ve been doing most weekends, and that’s relaxing at home. I must admit I am starting to miss going places on the weekend. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m a real homebody, but I did like going to Ikea LOL! or even to the trampoline place and letting the children jump and burn all their energy! LOL! Any who, today I’m sharing my new casual knit dress so let’s get into the details.
Double Gauze Tiered Skirt: mccalls 8066/7604
Hey everybody! Happy Friday! Today I am sharing a skirt that I can honestly say I did not love at first. My first and immediate reaction after finishing the skirt was, “Oh my gosh, who school colors are these?” LOLOLOL! I legit started singing, “we got spirit yes we do, we got spirit how about you” LOL! I shared it on my Instagram stories, and while a lot of people loved it, I still felt like something was definitely off and I didn’t love it!
New Learn To Read & Understand Pattern Series
Hi everyone! Happy Sunday! Last week I finished up a 4 part video series on Learning to Read & Understand Patterns. It’s funny because what started out as one video, quickly turned into four! I covered a lot of information and really tried to break things down so absolute beginners would be able to follow and understand. I talked about the pattern envelope, body measurements, finished garment measurements, sewing directions, cutting layouts, cutting patterns and the fabric.
Lucinda Dress: Friday Pattern Company
Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! Today, I’m sharing an indie pattern! I must admit my indie pattern stash is MUCH smaller than my commercial patterns, but I’ve been buying a lot of pdf patterns lately! Some from Fibre Mood, True Bias, and this one from Friday Pattern Company!
Black Floral Off The Shoulder Dress: mccall’s 8092
Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a super easy off the shoulder dress! Every now and then you need a project you can stitch up without needing to look at the instructions and this was that for me! This dress comes together really quick and if you have a fabric in your stash with a print similar to mine or one you don’t want to disrupt too much with darts and seam lines, this is a great summer dress for it!
Ankara Top + Headband: simplicity 8918
Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well! It has been so hard to blog lately and I apologize for ghosting y’all! I I’m playing catch because even though I wasn’t blogging, I’ve still been sewing and sharing on social media! So today, I’m going to talk about Simplicity 8918!
Off The Shoulder Shirred Top + Culottes: Sew It Academy
Hi everyone! I’m super excited because today a new course just went live in Sew It Academy and it’s for this shirred top! If you don’t know about Sew It Academy it was founded by Mimi G Style. It’s an online sewing and design school focused on teaching anyone to sew at their own pace for an affordable price! I’m so grateful to be about to teach in the Sew It Academy alongside Mimi G Ford and Norris Danta Ford.
