Hey everybody! Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! I did like I’ve been doing most weekends, and that’s relaxing at home. I must admit I am starting to miss going places on the weekend. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m a real homebody, but I did like going to Ikea LOL! or even to the trampoline place and letting the children jump and burn all their energy! LOL! Any who, today I’m sharing my new casual knit dress so let’s get into the details.

the details

Pattern Used: I used The Mimi PDF from Mimi G Style. The pattern is currently on sale at $3. (as of July 13, 2020)

Pattern Description: The Mimi is an easy to sew dress with front band and snaps. Batwing style, fitted through hips. *description from The Mimi PDF pattern

Pattern Sewing Level: The sewing level is for Beginners.

What size did you cut?: I cut the L around the bust and merged to the XXL for the hips. After sewing the sides together, I tried the dress on and had to take in fabric from the hips, so I could’ve just cut the XL.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes! The instructions were easy to follow. I did get a little confused with the neckband, if I in fact had it turned the right way or not, but it all worked out once I pinned and stitched it together.

What did you like or dislike about the pattern? No dislikes. I really like the batwing style and I love that you can dress it up or down depending on the fabric you choose.

Did you make any pattern alterations: I did not make any adjustments or alterations other than merging the sizes.

Where did you purchase the fabric(s)? My fabric was gifted from Sewing Studio. It’s the Rayon Waffle Knit in the color Brick Pale. The fabric is really nice and lightweight. I think it would be perfect for cardigans or loose top/dress patterns. Its also available in different color ways!

Did you record a sew along for this pattern? I did! I’m currently editing the video, so be sure to subscribe to my channel and turn on your notifications so you’ll know when it goes live!

Would you sew it again? Absolutely! I can see multiples of this in my wardrobe! Its a great dress for my everyday lifestyle. I can wear this inside around the house, and outside to run errands! I love it! It’s comfy and cute!

Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would!

Well, that is all for today! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Until next time….

Blessings,
