Summer Pink Cami & Pant Set: simplicity 9114
Hey everybody! Happy Monday! I’ve been holding on to the make for a couple weeks now and finally got around to taking pics! I can’t tell you enough how much I love this set! These pants are now my go-to and favorite! I’m sharing more about why below so let’s get into the details.

Pattern Used: I used Mimi G X Simplicity 9114 and made View B & C from the pattern.
Pattern Description: Misses' button front, long dress with gathered tiers, long sleeves. Crop top. Pants have front pleats, fly and side pockets. *description from Simplicity website.
Pattern Sewing Level: I didn't see a sewing level on the pattern but if you’re comfortable with sewing and attaching facing, doing gathers, collars, cuff (for view A) straps, inserting pockets, sewing darts and a front fly zipper you can nail this pattern.
What size did you cut?: I cut the size 16 for cami and the size 24 for the pants.
Were the instructions easy to follow? I didn’t look at the instructions at all. I followed along to Mimi G sew along for both pieces on her Youtube channel.
What did you like or dislike about the pattern? I love everything about this pattern. I’ve made the cami twice already and love it. The pants are my FAVORITE though! I plan to make these in a couple more colors and fabric types. The fit is so amazing! For me, I usually have to merge the pattern between the waist and hips (example, waist is a 18, hips are a 22) BUT I did not have to do that for these. I was so impressed. The crotch curve was perfect too! These are now my TOP pants pattern. I really wanted to make View A to pair with it, but I’m kinda over gathers right now lol! Maybe I’ll make it before summer is over and put this set back on for more pics LOL!
Did you make any pattern alterations: The only adjustment I made was taking in 1/2 around my waist for the pants.
Where did you purchase the fabric(s)? My fabric is a Tencel Twill I found at my local Joann a while ago, you can find some here from Style Maker Fabrics. They have different colors, but it’s the same fabric. Very lightweight, drapey, and soft.

Would you sew it again? Absolutely!! These pants are legit my favorite pants! I’ll make more of these for sure.
Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would!
Before I let you go, its’ time for another Just fab review. I shared last month that I’m partnering with Just Fab for the Summer. I wore these Thyra Two Strap Mules with my look. They are super cute and trendy, but I would recommend them for a narrow foot. I wear a size 10 and I kinda felt like I had the “stuffed shoe” look. The quality could be a little better too. I also put on the Pin Me Down necklace. It’s just a cute little safety pin necklace. I’ll get anything sewing related!
