Stripe Print Wrap Dress: simplicity 9224
Hey friends! Happy Tuesday! I hope you’re all having a great week! Today, I am so excited to share my latest project! It feels like weeks since I’ve shared something new so I’m happy I have a great dress to talk about! I’ve said it many times before but I’ll say it again for my new friends! I love dresses especially wrap dresses! I think they are so figure flattering and really easy to wear and transition between seasons! This dress is no different! I can totally see myself wearing with heels, flats, and sneakers! It’s gonna be a go-to pattern I’m sure! Let’s get into the details.
the details
I used Mimi G Style x Simplicity 9224 Misses Wrap Dress pattern. I love the entire dress especially the hemline! I don’t have a shaped hemline wrap dress so I had to have it! One thing I found great about the pattern instructions were the hemline finishings. It’s a mitered corner finish on the front skirt and I know that will be great for beginners or those that have never done that technique before to see it, practice it and do it for their dress.
For fabric, I used this Vangogh Stripe Print from Melanated Fabrics! I love the drape and weight of this fabric! It was so great for this wrap dress. I used the other color way for this McCalls top a couple weeks ago!
size + adjustments
For size, I cut the 16 for the bust and waist and merged over to the 22 for the hips. I didn’t make any adjustments or alterations to the pattern. The instructions were also easy to follow and understand.
machine
I used my Husqvarna Viking Epic 95Q to make this dress. I also finished my seams with my Huskylock s25 serger. You can see me working on some of the dress in these two posts here on Instagram. (IGTV, LIVE)
Well, that is all for today! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Until next time….
Blessings,
