ruffle loungewear set: madalynne x simplicity 8995
Happy Monday everyone! I am so excited to share this new pattern from Madalynne x Simplicity 8995 Lounge Set! I was in love with the ruffle detailing on the pants when I first saw it and knew I had to make them! You all know I sew A LOT and LOVE a lot of patterns, but this pattern one is amazing, especially the pants! The fit is great, and I just love that ruffle! This is a perfect loungewear pattern for in the house and out! Let’s get into the details!
Pattern Used: I used Madalynne X Simplicity 8995 pattern for this look!
Pattern Description: Misses' Loungewear pants and top by "Madalynne Intimates". Loose-fitting top has ruffle-trimmed sleeves. Designed and sized for stretch knits. Loose-fitting pants have elasticated waist and ruffle-trimmed hems. Pants suitable for stretch knits or lightweight woven fabric. *description from Simplicity site.
Pattern Sewing Level: If you can insert elastic, you can sew this pattern!
What size did you cut?: For the top, I cut the M. For the pants, I cut the XL.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, they were super easy to follow. I had no issues with the instructions or the illustrations.
What did you like or dislike about the pattern? No dislikes! I love everything about it! Super easy to sew and super cute look when it’s finished!
Did you make any pattern alterations: I did! I added an inch to the back rise of the pants.
Where did you purchase the fabric(s)? For the pants, I used a Rayon Telio print from Fabric.com. The knit is Jersey Rayon blend from Joann.
Did you record a sew along for this pattern? Yes I did! I had the opportunity to team up with Madalynne and create a sew along for BOTH views on this pattern. You can watch them both here!
Would you sew it again? Absolutely! I will definitely make this again especially the pants! I love them LOL!
