red linen front zip jumpsuit: mccalls 7936
Happy Friday everybody! I am soooo ready for the weekend, but before the relaxing and family outing with my crew begins, let’s chat about my latest make! I am a HUGE fan of jumpsuits and when I saw this new Learn to Sew for Fun McCalls 7936 I was all over it!! I love that its a beginner friendly jumpsuit and I love the front invisible zipper! Here’s my review….
Pattern Used: I used McCalls 7936 for this jumpsuit, and I made View D on the pattern.
Pattern Description: Loose-fitting jumpsuit and romper have front invisible zipper, neckline facings, all-in-one sleeve and length variations. A, C, D:Side seam pockets. B: Purchased belt. D: Self fabric belt. *description from McCalls website.
Pattern Sewing Level: This is a Learn to Sew for Fun Level 2 Pattern so it will be great for a confident beginner.
What size did you cut?: I cut the L (16-18) for the bust and waist of this pattern and graded the size over to the XL (20-22) for my hips.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes! They were easy to follow as well as the illustrations!
What did you like or dislike about the pattern? I love EVERYTHING about this pattern. It’s quick to sew up and the style of it is easy to wear casual or dressy! I've worn it out already with my sneakers and a jean jacket!
Did you make any pattern alterations: Besides the grading for size, I didn’t make any adjustments to the pattern.
Where did you purchase the fabric(s)? I used this Linen Rayon Blend from LaFinch Fabrics. Love this fabric. It’s a lot softer than 100% Linen and it has a nice drape to it!
Did you record a sew along for this pattern? Yes I did! You can watch the sew along for this jumpsuit here!
Would you sew it again? Yes! I love this jumpsuit and I think one in a navy or olive would be perfect!
Would you recommend it to others? Yes I do! This jumpsuit is a winner!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope you enjoy the sew along for this jumpsuit! Until next time….
