olive gathered skirt: mccalls 7960 view b

Hey everybody! Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing my new favorite skirt! I love an easy, versatile skirt and this one is just that! My day to day style is very casual, relaxed, and comfortable so this skirt will be worn with sneakers and a denim jacket majority of the time! Besides it being so versatile, I love the Olive Linen I used to make it with. It makes it easy to dress it up or down with such a great neutral! Let’s get into more details of it!

Pattern Used: I used McCalls 7960 for this skirt. I made View B on this pattern.

Pattern Description: Wrap skirt has length variations with hook and eye closures. A, B, C: Side seam pockets. D: Patch pockets. *descriptions from McCalls website.

Pattern Sewing Level: This is a Learn to Sew for Fun pattern so it’s perfect for beginner makers.

What size did you cut?: I cut the size 18 for this skirt.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, they were really easy to follow along to.

What did you like or dislike about the pattern? No dislikes. This is a great wrap skirt pattern. I like the skirt, pocket and closure variations on this pattern!

Did you make any pattern alterations: No, I did not make any adjustments to this pattern.

Where did you purchase the fabric(s)? I used a Linen Rayon blend from LA Finch Fabrics. The olive I used is sold out but they have it available in red and black.

Did you record a sew along for this pattern? Yes I did! It’s live on my YouTube channel now!

Would you sew it again? Yes I would! I really like my skirt and I get a lot of wear out of it!

Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I do! It’s a great easy to sew wrap skirt!

I styled my skirt with a tee from Target and my waistpack from Nikki & Mallory. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Until next time,

Blessings
