Off The Shoulder + Flat Front Elastic Back Skirt: New Look 6507
Hey everybody! Happy Wednesday! I hope your month of April is off to an awesome start! I'm working on getting videos recorded all this week so next week I can hang with the little ones during their Spring Break! I can't believe this school year is almost over! Its so crazy how fast time flies! But any who, lets chat about my new look!
Today I'm sharing with you a two piece I made back in February (blame the weather lol)! New Look 6507 is a really cute off the shoulder top/dress pattern. I was so ready for Spring to get here, I made in when we had our one day of snow!! LOL! This is a great quick sew project! I made View B with only one ruffle and cut it a little below the waistline to make it a top! For size, I went with the 14, and the fit is just right!!
The skirt is a DIY Flat Front Elastic Back Gathered Skirt. I made this tutorial a couple years ago, and I decided to revisit it! I really like elastic skirts but I don't like the elastic waistband in the front. So this is a great way to get the best of both worlds! You can check out the tutorial here if you're interested.
I can't tell you enough how much I love this fabric! I was browsing my favorite Etsy shop HouseofMamiwata, came across this print and immediately added it to my cart! I don't sew with much Ankara fabrics, but sometimes you see one that you just have to have! This colors just made me smile! I love it!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I have a couple posts coming up soon! One for my new linen outfit I'm in love with, a super cute Ikat tunic, and my "shades of pink" collection. So make sure to stay tuned! Until next time...
Blessings
