Floral Kimonos: Simplicity 8707
Hey everybody! Happy Friday!! Today I'm sharing one a quick and easy make thats quickly become a favorite. I don't know about you but I love kimonos. They are great to add to a simple look and take it to the next level! I really love them for Fall too, so I plan to make maybe one or two more.
To make my kimono, I went with Simplicity 8707! I have other kimono patterns but of course I got this one because its a mommy and me pattern! You know I love twinning with my mini when I can! This pattern is really easy to whip up. I made this from cut to hem in under 2 hours.
For size I cut the L, and the only change I made was to omit the bias tape finish. I did a narrow hem on all of the edges and hems.
I can't tell you enough how much I love the fabric. Its a Bubble Crepe from LaFinchFabrics. Its super lightweight and perfect for a kimono. I also have this same fabric print in a double brushed poly knit! I'm planning to make a maxi with that one soon!
Its a mommy and me pattern! Of course I had to make Justice one!! I cut the size 3 for her and did the same narrow hem finish. She wasn't into photos this day so our close up will have to do!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Until next time...
Blessings
