Ruffle Tie Top: McCalls 7626 & 7778

Hey everybody! Happy Friday! I've been MIA all week and thats because mom was in town for a couple days. I took advantage of our time together and we did what we both love to do....sew!! It was awesome! I managed to get two project complete and put the finishings on one!! Now that she's back home, I'm back to share a new look!

This top was a total "just making it for a tutorial, don't care how it turns out, use my cheap fabric" kind of make! LOL! Well, don't you just love it when a muslin is wearable! Now I'm regretting using white serger thread instead of pink! LOL!

I made this top using McCalls 7626 and McCalls 7778. Last week, I shared my Chambray Tier Maxi using these same patterns! I REALLY love that dress and after posting it, I got a couple request to show how I insert my zippers. I figured it'd be best to show it using the same patterns so instead of another maxi, I whipped up a quick top!

It came together really quickly and I love it! I think its a great top to throw on for summer! It has good coverage in the back without being too low, so I'm not fidgeting and I can wear a bra. The straps are also wide and provide good support too!

I probably won't make anymore tie strap tops for awhile, because I have enough! LOL! I'm actually posting another next week, so after that, no more tie tops! LOL!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you haven't checked out my video to see how I like to install my invisible zipper you can watch it below! And if you're not already subscribed to my newsletter, The Sewing Scoop, the next one goes out this Sunday! Until next time...

Blessings,
