floral ruffle neckline dress: simplicity s9326

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing what is probably my favorite make of 2023 so far! I’ve been in a “dress making” mood lately so when I came across Simplicity S9326 in my stash I knew it was time to make it! I’ve had it for a while and I don’t know why I never made it, but I’m glad I got around to it! This dress screams Spring, and it’s such a pretty feminine, flirty style to me. I loved the way it turned out and how I felt in it! Let’s get into the details….

This pattern is Simplicity S9326. I cut the size 20 for the bust and merged over to the 22 for the waist and hips. For fabric, I used this 100% Rayon from Melanated Fabrics! We currently have some beautiful Rayon fabrics in stock that will be great for Spring & Summer like these below…..

I found the ruffle to be the most time. consuming part of this dress. If I make it again, I’d probably omit the ruffle. Once the ruffle is finished and attached, it sews up quickly. You can make the split higher or lower for your comfort. I also like the idea of using just the bottom portion of this dress and adding a wasitband to make it a skirt.

I really love the dress! I can see myself wearing it to an outdoor spring wedding, out on a date with Jerome, and I can even pair it with flats and it will still be a winner! I definitely recommend this dress.
