A Casual Valentine Day Outfit
Hey everybody! Happy Valentines Day! I don't know about you but I have zero plans for today and I'm not sad about it one bit! LOL! I'm looking forward to having a nice dinner in, starting a new series with hubs on Netflix and eating the bag of gummy bears I bought last night from TJMaxx! I'm living the dream y'all! LOL! Okay, I'm being silly so let me focus and get into my casual Valentines look!
Today I'm sharing with you a really cute outfit that I just love! First lets chat about the top! This top all started with this super cute red lip Telio fabric. While browsing Fabric.com, I came across it and immediately added it to my cart! I normally sew solids, florals, stripes, etc. but I don't think I've ever sewn a novelty print for myself. So this fabric was fun and of course perfect for Valentines!
The pattern I used for the top is McCalls 7630. I went with View F and I cut the size 14! This is a great top with lots of other options on the pattern. I will definitely make this view again. It came together really fast, it has no closures, and I think it'll be great top for spring!
For the pants, you already know! I've told you all before how much I love McCalls 7726! I've made in a black corduroy here and the wide leg view here! Well, they've made another appearance but this time in a red twill that I can't wait to wear all summer! If you haven't got your hands on this pattern yet, definitely think about giving it a try! Its a great trendy pants pattern, and I have a step-by-step video here for View D.
The fabric that I used for the pants is this Cotton Twill from Fabric.com! I'll be honest, when I first touched it out of the box, it felt very stiff, however after pre-washing it softened up nicely and sewed up great! Its a really good lightweight twill!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great Valentine Day and I'll talk to you in the next post!
Blessings
